Job Description

PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to work within our busy (but super friendly!) HR department. The key purpose of the role is to be responsible an allocated group of employees (circa. 200 employees), providing an efficient and effective HR advisory service to those clients. You will also be assisting the team with general HR projects and helping the Team Leads to manage the running of HR operations.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client group:
-Oversee recruitment within client group, working closely with the Senior Recruitment Advisor.
-Build and maintain an excellent knowledge of the allocated group`s goals, employees and business processes.
-To act as point of contact for the employees and Partners within client group and build strong relationships with those individuals.
-To manage complex employee relations and Health and Wellbeing cases.
-To provide commercial advice to line managers to help support with performance cases and difficult conversations
-To support and advise Partners/Managers in relation to people issues, ensuring they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business.
-To ensure HR Manager, relevant Partners are made aware of sensitive employee relations issues.
-To assist with salary review and appraisals for allocated group, identifying employees ready for promotion/performance review.
-To attend appraisal meetings for allocated group where required.
-To work with the Learning and Development team to identify and prepare career development plans for key employees.
-To support and advise Partners/Managers in relation to people issues, ensuring they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business.
Operations:
-To advise and assist HR team with more complex employee relations issues.
-HR project management. .
-To support and develop the remaining HR team with their professional development, ensuring they are appropriately involved in operational issues and project work.
-To manage the internal and external secondments and internships within the client group.
-To work with the Assistant HR Manager in managing the annual engagement survey.
-To work with the Junior HR Advisor in managing the work experience placements within the client group.
-To manage the collation of MI for local office meetings.
-Oversee Firm`s Home Office Sponsor Management System (SMS) and general process for Tier 2 sponsorship.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Strong HR experience within a professional services environment, ideally Law or Accountancy.
-A good standard of education.
-CIPD qualified.
-Excellent working knowledge of employment law with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations.
-Excellent understanding of HR best practice and ability to apply this to employee relations cases.
-Experience of leading on organisational change projects including restructures and redundancies.
-Experience of TUPE
-Shares the firm`s desire to help our clients succeed.
-Commercially astute
-Experience of assisting with salary review processes.
-Experience of assisting with budgets.
-Experience of formal report writing.
-Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
-Excellent organisational skills and the ability to mutli-task.
