Selection Process

At Kingston Smith we pride ourselves in the quick response we give to candidates who apply during all stages of the recruitment process, whether this is via email or over the phone. You will need to pass each stage of the recruitment process in order to progress, but at any stage if you are unsuccessful we will be happy to give you constructive feedback.

What’s the process?

Once we have received your application and if it is shortlisted you will be invited to take some online verbal and numerical reasoning tests. These will take approximately one hour to complete and you will be allowed to use a calculator!

If you successfully pass both of these tests then you are through to the next stage for a ten minute telephone interview with a member of HR.

Telephone interview went well? You can then look forward to an invite to one of our assessment days held at our London office in Barbican. The assessment day consists of a series of tests including a team exercise, a three minute presentation and an interview with a member of the HR team.

Once the results are back from the assessment day and its all good news you will be invited back to the City office for a final interview with a partner.

We aim to complete the whole process within three weeks. If you are successful and accept an offer to join us we do keep in touch with you by emailing any updates relating to Kingston Smith, including a monthly news letter, which covers all the latest news and gossip from Kingston Smith. Nearer the time we will also invite you to join HR and some current trainees for a few drinks in a ‘Getting to know each other’ evening.
